Cute Kid Stuff is excited to be participating in the Government of Canada's Summer Jobs program that helps 
young Canadians develop skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition in the labour market.

As a result of our participation in this program, please note that we can only hire eligible youth. To be eligible, youth must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment and,
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

We encourage youth who self-identify as being part of groups which are underrepresented or have additional barriers to the labour market to apply, including but not limited to:

1) Accounting Bookeeper

Start Date: IMMEDIATE

We're looking for a tech-savvy bean counter whose primary goal will be to set up our online accounting system so that we can easily manage monthly bookkeeping on our own. Knowledge of accounting as it pertains to E-Commerce is a plus!

The candidate in this role will be responsible for:

  • Setting up a cloud-based accounting system (Quickbooks Online)
  • Organizing and preparing government remittances (Payroll, HST, etc).
  • Reconciling bank and credit accounts
  • Preparing a system that allows for the easy collection of data at tax time

This job will last for 8 weeks, 35hrs/week, and pays $15 an hour. The position will be begin at our Vaughan Warehouse, where we practice safe social distancing measures. Once trained and able to work independently, there is a possibility of performing some of the work remotely.

2) Online Marketing Manager (Klaviyo/Email)

Start Date: IMMEDIATE

The online marketing manager will have the luxury of being completely focused on email marketing for the duration of their contract with Cute Kid Stuff. Skills and responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing current emails flows and recommending new ones 
  • Advanced segmentation
  • Set up an email marketing calendar
  • Identify, flag, and implement marketing opportunities
  • Execute A/B tests, analyze data, and make recommendations in order to achieve maximum ROI
  • Write and proof-read email copy and subject lines for clarity, grammar, and spelling
  • Track, analyze and report on results of campaigns, deliverability and email-based KPIs.
  • Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time campaigns

This job will last for 8 weeks, 35hrs/week, and pays $15 an hour. The position will be begin at our Vaughan Warehouse, where we practice safe social distancing measures. Once trained and able to work independently, there is a possibility of performing some of the work remotely.

3) Social Media Community Manager

Start Date: IMMEDIATE

We are looking for an experienced & enthusiastic social media guru who can help us reach the masses via the creation of unpaid social media content that speaks to our audience. The right candidate will have the delicate balance of excellent graphic skills along with impeccable writing skills, and will easily "get" what our followers are looking for. Attention to detail and native English speaker (or equivalent) is a must.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:

  • Independent content creation and content curation (photographs, video, stories, etc) for our Facebook Page, Facebook Group (59K members) and Instagram profiles - both copywriting & graphics
  • Maintaining & encouraging social interaction; answering product questions
  • Implementing the latest tools & tactics for effectively growing multiple social media accounts
  • Scheduling future posts
  • Providing weekly reporting/insights to measure against outlined goals

This job will last for 8 weeks, 35hrs/week, and pays $15 an hour. There is an opportunity to continue the position for the rest of the summer, and even year-round. Training will take place at our Vaughan Warehouse, where we practice safe social distancing measures. 4) {POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED} Internet Graphic Designer

Start Date: IMMEDIATE

We're looking for someone who loves spending time with Adobe graphic tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) to create graphics that will make our brand shine! 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:

  • The creation of online marketing materials (website graphics, email content, online ads, PDF buying guides etc.)
  • In-house product photography (e.g. product bundles on a white background)
  • Create and manipulate simple illustrations for lunch notes, magnets, and stickers
  • Nice to have: Video editing

This job will last for 8 weeks, 35hrs/week, and pays $15 an hour. There is an opportunity to continue the position for the rest of the summer, and even year-round. Training will take place at our Vaughan Warehouse, where we practice safe social distancing measures.
